Great shot, Buck. Not only a great study in textures, But the shadowy suggestion of Marilyn Monroe on the left and JFK on the right is a good touch. You have the eye of an atrist !!
This is the Ross Gibson 815 Cubic Inch Ford Pro Stock engine. It has really goo detail to work with. Not at all like the early Ross Gibson engine kits. This one I would recommend to anyone. Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy your work at Rustbucket.
Thanks guys. I am in 7 hours and 4 minutes. Since I have never done this before I don't know how that plays out for where I am. Last two time consuming things is drilling the distribtor and trying to make the dash look decent. 4:05PM
Fine job! I love the engine and detail, down to the fuel line and small wire running to the front carb! Body looks good, but like the old nash machines the design isn't "classic." The BATHTUB moniker is earned. Of the era the 49-51 Fords and Mercs are more to my liking, and the Studes. Thanks 4 takin' the time to put pix up, I don't check FOTKI as often as I should.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Not many do. This has been a fun kit not a body style I would choose but you work with what ya got. You might want to check out Zbuckstersmodelcars.com. It's a small forum of about 65 members maybe 20 active. Friendly little group of older guys really. My wife says "'just a bunch of old guys playing with there toys". I think we are a bunch of guys designing high quality cars. The truth is probably somewhere inbetween.
Godspeed Mr. Paeth. This man was amazing, end of story. Way ahead of his time as you say in the description Buck. Thank you so much for posting this car.-Mark
