First big crevasse field. Trying to scout out a way through. Had to significantly retrace our steps to find a passage. Spent about 1.5 hours.

    Голливуд отдыхает! ;)

Another route-finding challenge. We ended up going through the upper Kautz Ice Fall. Three dudes who were following us decided to turn around here.

    Совершенно сюрреалистическая картинка!

Coming up last. Almost to the top of the ice wall.

    Дух захватывает!

Anton on a snow bridge. He's smiling, but I know he's scared :-)

Ha! Not only would Jeremy "not approve" -- he would have a heart attack :-)

My tent, used for it's intended purpose (and not for KSP or KZM)

We got a glimpse of Rainier while crossing the debris fields at the bottom of Nisqually Glacier. Red arrow shows the Kautz Ice Cliff -- that's where we're going!

    NICE!

Anton coming up to Baron. I'm taking a break; reclining on a runner attached to an ice screw anchor.

why is it always that Anton is coming up to Baron... :)

A typical afternoon storm in the Rockies

Maksim, all of these pix are just gorgeous! You should publish these in a book or send to National Geographic Magazine along with an article of your trip. A new friend of mine (Jack Haar) rode from OR to VA for a cause - "Ride for Jim" - think you know about it?? I'm helping with the cause this year...trying to beef up publicity! Amazing glimpse of what's to come for this year's trip acros the U.S.!!!
