Hi. I came upon your Fotki after reading a form on BHM about texturizers. I am considering getting one. My hairdresser is discouraging me because my hair texture is relatively soft, curls up with little product. But it has so much shrinkage and I feel a tex will elongate my curls. I am scared of damage. Do you think the texturizer gave you stretched out curls? do you think you it damaged your hair?
It's not that it doesn't look fine. I love my hair. I am just tired of breakage from the ends curling up on each other. I am not willing to take the time and effort needed to maintain it and grow it longer with it being so curly. I really just want wash n go hair. And I am a length whore, I want my hair to hang down my back.
