I love Thai BBQ food a lot...the herbs and speices are so well balanced. These are Indonesian, slightly sweet and hot...something you need to get used to

they are so pretty, I sometimes have the chance to buy them and they look wonderful on the diner table...they are rather pricy and sold per piece but they keep very well for at least 2 weeks.

That's because they are still in the pupa stage. have you ever heard of what we call Mexican Jumping Beans? There's a larva/pupa inside that does some reflex movements that cause the bean to move around when you touch it. really interesting.
