I made a mistake and sold mine a few years back and I am sorry I did. I had to move back west and could not afford to take it with me. I am looking for another one. If anyone has any knowledge of a decent rig for sale I am indeed interested. Would like to have factory buckets. Drop me a line if u have any info please.

    Hi,
Great looking truck. My brother has one also. Like you, he treats it like his first born. What I would like to get for him is the model of your trucks. I am not sure if it is die cast or not. What I understand is that they were sold by dealerships years ago. The plant that manufactured them burnt down. I have looked at swap meets, on the internet, called different dealerships etc. There is not one to be found. Do you know about these models. If so do you have any idea where I can buy one? Also the Camaro and the car hauler are out there somewhere.
I want to find one of these for his birthday. He has been looking for years to buy one. He would go nuts if I found one for him.
Thanks for your time. Any help would be appreciated.

    Take care,
    John

I also have an Indy Truck. 1,534 sounds about right as the automotive literature of the time quoted "1500 with 100 seeing race duty" and I suspect museums. I paid $19,000 for mine at the time and nobody wanted it. The battery went dead as it sat for *months* in the showroom. As for value, I have heard they command prices as high as SS454s with Camaro Pace Car owners shelling out most of the cash, but as always, something is only worth as much as someone will pay for it. I have seen many hauling firewood logs and pulling tractors on flatbed trailers, but then again, I live in Missouri.

How much did you lower your indy pace truck. An did you put a supercharger or anything on the motor.

Wow!! I didn't notice all these comments!

The production figure you hear most often is 1534. I've never heard 83 before and I don't believe it for a second. I've also heard 500-something and 1200-something.

A few of the stripes are still available from GM, but most aren't. Some of the stickers are the same as the Camaro Pace car. Classic Industries bought all of GMs stock of Camaro stickers, so you have to get them there. Classic is a Camaro (and other musclecar) parts reproduction company.

Scott, the dealer I got mine from had it on the lot for ~ a year, says he paid more for it than I gave him. He thought it was super cool but it was a bad business decision. IMHO if you pay a penny more for one of these trucks than a regular Silverado right now, you'll have to wait a long time to get your money back.

I spent a year trying to sell on the net and in the newspaper, Trader, etc. Couldn't even get a response to my ad asking $4800 for it. :o :( They're great trucks; it's a shame that they're not worth anything. I hear the Camaros value has bottomed out too. You just have to wait for them to come back up. I'd say $6000 for a pristine, stock, original, low mile truck is tops. Modifications, miles, and repaints ruin them. No more than $4000 for a nice truck with miles or modifications. And even that may be tough to get in some areas.

Good luck with all of yours. I'd love to see pictures, and can put them in this album with your name if you don't mind.

We purchased the 1993 Pace truck from Chev. I have seen several versions of it. The ones that are different you will find were done by individuals using after market stickers. Ours has the Corvette rear-end, boards, Bucket Seats (was not an option)

We were told there were only 83 of them made. Not sure how many are still available. In 1993 we bought with .4 miles on it and paid 30,000 for it that inclues the over and under coatings.

It had a Heartbeat of America sticker on the back but just said HEARTBEAT and it was in purples and blues (thick on the heartbeat) however the tailgate was painted solid for some dumb reason when in the shop and I am tring to find a picture or something like it to have put back on. If anyone has any info on this I would appreciate it.

The side stripes drivers side was readily available the passenger side I can not find. The flying wheel is available but not the indy car with the 500 in it however you can take a picture and have the 3M company make one .. which is what I will do with the Heartbeat if I can find a picture .... I can not believe in all my pictures I do not have a tailgate shot ;(

Thanks and any help will be appreciated

I have a 1999 Lumina Police Package was wondering how much horsepower standard

    ----------------------------------------

Chris-- A 99 should have a 3.8 with 205hp I think. My 97 is the last year for the 160hp 3.1 in the cop car.

I have a 93 pace truck also (Original Owner) and would like to know where to get the decals. Not really needing them right now but just in case. As for my truck, the stock 350 was replaced with a 300 hp 350 and on top of that a B&M Supercharger. Plus other addons maybe around 400 hp. The truck was a daily driver but now just a show goer.

I am a car dealer and purchased one of these vehicles appx. 1 month ago in Tallahassee, Fl. Being a dealer the first rule of thumb is never to fall in love with one of your vehicles (especially when you really cannot afford to hold on to it (business has been rough for a while now).
Anyway I would like to know more about this vehicle (production figures, etc.) and possibly a potential market for moving it if I have to (boo hoo!) I would appreciate any info. Thank you. Scotty
