George Hagy...my reason to love racing back in the late 1980s. What a doll..and a hell of a racer.. ahahaha.  He was some fabricator. could build a great car. Wonder where he is now? In the biz? Building?

George is back in San Antonio. Saw him just yesterday. He works for Jack Chisenhall, who owns Vintage Air in Bracken, Texas. George builds and mainrtains Jack's hot rods. Also works at times with Bob McCall, (Robin's Dad), and Gordon Leland, who owns Alamo Hot Rod Parts. Has been going to the go-kart track in New Braunfels, running shifter karts with Jake Dallenbach.

The Rusty Wallace car was, in fact, a Buick LeSabre body, even though it said "Pontiac" on the nose :)  Remember, Rusty was driving the Kodiak Pontiacs in Winston Cup at the time.

Any idea what year this photo was taken.  I don't remember that car, but Paul did drive the 53 for my dad.  Also Slim's Garage was a familiar name.  I'm guessing this was mid-50's and might have been before he drove for dad.

Lots of names come back.  Thanks

My dad, Dick Caulfield is holding up this sign, but for the life of me I cannot imagine his pants NOT being High Waters (as they usual were back then) and where are his Tennie Shoes?  I remember his first pair of tennies he got and we used to say he looked like SMALL FRY (the McDonalds french fry character back then) LOL Ok also have to mention Bill Lays pants are also NOT high waters.... what is the deal?  Are my memories soooooo wrong?
