The stark contrast of light & subject in 17 & 24 are introspective for me personally. For me, the light and essential starkness of subject provoke the same inner stillness of my emotion that Sarah Vaughn singing "I Remember You" or Hopper's "Nighthawks" or certainly Barber's "adagio"
