Good! It seems the pictures were taken at a time when the tourists were less, giving clear views of the buildings, decorating with the monks. It's pity that it isn't the best moment for the scene of the gate, which stands westward and is so glorious at sunset. Is it because it's too crowded this time?

Looks like a mudflow of some sort that covered up the roots of the trees enough to kill them and a stream is gradually clearing the debris. Jim
