I bet there was no door behind you to close in any room of that house right?? LOL!! Ever run into "Afro Man / Manteno Man" while you were there? He would have been dating "black" Betty in those days.

Is this the car that went over the wall and into the parking lot?

Bob Pronger & Bud Koehler

THE single best rivalry in the history of the track.

Sr. was telling me a story last week about how Pete was mad at Pronger one night and told him to follow him down to the East bar, that he was going to kick Prongers rear end. Anyway, I guess Pete lunged at him then Pronger proceeded to pick him up and throw him across the Bar. If you ever talk to Sr. have him re-tell the story. Very funny when he tells it.

Ok , Just wanted to defend a great guy in case youngsters ever think differently. You may not like a certain driver when out on a track but in my mind we have to respect their ability and guts. Jerry like Pronger, Koehler, Janecyk, Van Allen ,Young, Cornwall, Kullman, Whitcomb, Simonsen, Kapovich, Oldenberg and the list can go on had them both. Some of these greats are still with us many have gone on to better place.
Thanks guys, Jerry Kalwasinski

Same car with a white paint job instead of blue. This was the Short Track Nationals. He won a 50 lap qualifying race that day if I remember right. I have a shot of him in this car in victory lane at Rockford.

KAL, you missed the whole point of the caption. Neither of these two guys stroked a day in their lives. They always put their best out on the asphault.

Jerry was not stroker but one of the bests racers around. Super nice guy too the sport and many fans miss him. #6 the Black Panther.
