Pronger's case is still open,he has never been offically declared dead. The talk back when he disappeared was that he made it to Mexico. The story was that John,Bob's brother was seen getting on a plane to Mexico to bring Bob supplies.John can't tell us anything,he got a knock on the door in Aug.88......................
Bob Pronger was killed & fed to the pigs at a farm in Indiana so that there would be no reamins including dental, his brother John was informed of it immediatley afterwards , and was told by the killers that they wanted part of John's chop shop business or he would be nex talso John pled guilty to a crime that Bob committed & served the jail time because Bob had a wife & family to take care of.
I remember watching Noreen race in Birmingham when I was little. I remember asking my Dad if she was married to Rick! My logic as a 7 year old was that she raced cars and her last name was Mears, She must be related! Those were the days.
Man those hooby fest nights were awesome...The pits were packed, some nites there were 100 cars there! Ponton,Sterks, Davis, Johnson, Deutsch,Duckworth, Rubino,Varners,Rogers,Yancik,Nutley...It was up for grabs!
Is this the car that got a flat during a red flag stop. The race started and the car just sat there. When looking he was not in it. He was found in the bar.
Roger, we couldn't compete against you at Raceway, you had way too much engine for our little ford torino, but you inspired Scott Tanzillo a bunch! Made him drive all the harder. Hobbyfest was a blast. Illiana was serious racing, but Raceway was just plain ole fun!
His 1st car, I remember the 1st time he, and his brother pulled in, what a goofy sight! Great guys though, and his brother had one hot girl friend who worked the in concession stand!!!
I remember when Frank had 2 cars, an orange one, and the yellow one. He showed up at Illiana with the orange one, with no weight in it, and hot lapped it at 17 something! Before they could say anything to him, he loaded it up & left. He showed back up with the yellow one, qualified it, ran and won everything that night! Those were the days...
