Actually, that is 1980. They only ran the caprice in that year.The picture is from the 1980 night race at bristol. I was there, it was Richard's last pole position.

Chrysler ran out of $ for engine design and performance parts
it wasn't so much the car ... it came around with some top 5 & 10s. All Chrysler teams ran out of blocks about that time and were scrounging in junkyards for performance parts.
