Actually, that is 1980. They only ran the caprice in that year.The picture is from the 1980 night race at bristol. I was there, it was Richard's last pole position.
ahhh ! The famous Gardner R&D car that won at Daytona by accident while testing shocks and setups for Bobby Allison ... who quit DiGard that night ... Sacks got his ride. DiGard's last win by the way.
Chrysler ran out of $ for engine design and performance parts it wasn't so much the car ... it came around with some top 5 & 10s. All Chrysler teams ran out of blocks about that time and were scrounging in junkyards for performance parts.
