Great looking car, however it's a 71' model, not a 70. 70 models had round parking lights in the bumper, 71 like this, and 72 had the rectangular parking lights moved vertically onto either side of the grill.
my dad lonney breedlove used to be the track champion at indianapolis raceway park in 78"-79". and also raced asa with mark martin etc. any help finding somebody who has or took pictures at irp or asa around those years would be greatly helpful. websites helpful too. thank you

Buddy Arrington's Imperial. Something looks odd in this picture. It is as if the car has been shortened to a smaller wheel base or something. Might be a Busch series vaiant, as they run on a 106" wheelbase vs the 110" of the Winston Cup series.
Probably the slickest car to ever run in NASCAR. The S-3 variant of the Chevy Malibu was declared un-raceable by NASCAR, probably because it had such an advantage over everything else of its era.
Buddy Arrington's late 80's T-Bird. After parking his Chryslers/Dodges in '85 Buddy purchased used cars and parts from Bill Elliot. Switching to Fords didn't help Buddy's luck as he didn't finish in the top 10 of any race he entered after switching to the Fords.
Neil Bonnett drove for Jim Stacy the 2nd half of the 77 and all of the 78 season after Stacy purchased all of the assetts (cars, parts etc) from the defunct K & K Ins team. Neil won two races in 77 including the last race of the season at Ontario using the above pictured car. After the race the Chargers were re-skinned as Magnums and raced until late June 78. At that point Harry Hyde sued Stacy for not paying the bills and the cars/parts etc were seized by the courts. Bonnett continued to race for Stacy using rented cars for the balance of the 78 season.
Picture taken sometime in 1976-77 of Buddy Arrington's 1974 Plymouth Road Runner racing with Petty's 1974 Charger. As far as I can find Arrington was the only driver to campaign the 73-73 Road Runner in NASCAR. Surprising to me that Petty didn't run it as it is far more aero-dynamic than the Charger. Buddy must have re-painted the Road Runner at one point as I have seen a picture of it in blue with red sides.
Great photo album ! Jungle Pam, WOW. My fathers brother campaigned a six cylinder digger and a 32 bantam during the mid to late seventies. I was just a kid but I spent a lot of time at Dragway Park. Frank Elliot, Sandy Elliot, the Gold Gambler, Wills Fargo, Jim Oddy. I've got a great photo album from that period. Give me a call if your interested.
Description reads, "Franklin Mint 1:24 1924 Hispano-Suiza Type H6C Speedster considered 'VERY RARE' Scale 1:24 New in Box with papers Model is made of wood and the finish is beautifully done. Other details are excellent, with lots of nice touches. The wire wheels are rendered in copper-finish, as is the underbody, side-mounted muffler and front suspension cover. The headlights have screen guards and there is a piece of simulated flex-pipe snaking out from under the hood. The engine and compartment are nicely done"
