I I remember this same car, going to Barrie speedway for their very first CASCAR event in CASCAR'S first year and Don setting the fastest qual. lap at that track ever. But his BAKER motor blew and he hit the wall backwards to end our day.The grandstand emptied to the pit area to see if Don and the car were alright ,for people loved that Windsor Corvette and Don Mallat wherever they raced! Thank's for the fun Don & Dianne it will never be forgotten and surely missed. M.Greenwood
DON got his nickname Roller Don from Don Biederman when we got caught running a roller cam at Delaware after winning feature on a Friday night.we ran a ASA Race the previous night at Mt Clemens. where rollers are permitted.I think all we got was our tow money, which was very unusual with Don, he always came out of a race office with 2or3 checks.Thank Tony Novotny for that night.Well in closing Thank You for the memories M.G.

Doug Warnes was a good friend of my dad's. I'm printing this pic to take to my dad. He is long term care at sunnybrooke and will be thrilled to see this photo. Thankyou Gary
i stumbled across this site and was so happy to see my old car. even happier to see my dad standing in front of it. i sent him the link, it will make his day. he often talks about these "good old days" as he gets older.
