This is bloody kool. I love it. I have a similar kit by dad built when he worked at a hobby shop in '63 but his is a chopped coupe. Your father truly was a master!!
Thanks Trevor, I at times feel like I have to live up to his work especially the racing stuff, but he says I am better, but I think it is a matter of several decades of separation thats all.. I am proud of what he did and from time to time still take this and enter it in shows.. just to see the response..
Chris, your work is amazing!! A couple decades don't hurt for sure. I wish I had the dedication to finish something, I'm so easily distracted by new projects.
Jack, sorry it took me a while to get back to you, it is about 1/16th scale. I met a guy on line who collects tether cars and he has a few of these 57 Belond Spl. that he had made up, we worked out a deal for me to build a detailed tether car/model of one but I havent heard from him for a few weeks.. He sais he had one or two for sale, if I can get a hold of him I will see what Ican do for you.... Chris
Thanks, there is a 4 page article on the build in Model Car Builder magazine issue#5 (www.magcloud.com key word model cars) this was a fun build with a lot of memories of being in the real car with Briggs Cunningham many years ago...
Thanks roy, My PC is down so I cant access my reference pics so until such point I have put this project on hold, I also am adressing some body fit problems and am in contact with Koysho Hiro to get that solved. More to come in a few weeks.. Thanks Again Chris
Anthony Airbrushes the graphics on his work, check So Cal NNL 09 for his 300 big Rig and Citrus Nationals for more pics of this 55 Nomad, those pics the graphics jump out at you!!!!!
