Myrmecodia echinata (and fruit)

Plumo,
Salut !
Renée

Sinningia bulbosa

There's no such thing as S. bulbifera. there is bulbosa, however.

Pachypodium geayi (new growth after 2 years rest)

Thanks so much for the info. Most appreciated.

Now my baby has a name!. She gets lots of sunlight, and I have her out on the patio all summer. Winter she is just where you see her. However, I will give her pride of place in closer to the sliding doors. That faces SSW and gets full sun right up until sunset. Even during winter, that is a lot of sun.

I have to repot her again. Not as hard as most would think. I take some sheets of newspaper, roll them up into strips and wrap them around the top and bottom of the plant with a length on either end for me to grasp. That way there are no injuries to either me or the plant.

Pachypodium geayi (new growth after 2 years rest)

hi!

I wanted to tell you how wonderful your photos are and to ask you for some info about a Pachypodium I have.

I bought it back in 1995 at the New York Botanical Gardens, so it is now at least 10 years old (it must have been about a year old when I bought it). It shows seasonal growth (green for summer, grey for winter) for 10 years and is about 4 feet high.

My question is, when can I hope to have it bloom? I read somewhere that they will bloom about their 10th year.

Actually, 2 questions. What can I do to encourage it to bloom?

I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks!
