I am glad you can come back and be reminded of how much Jacob, and his family is cared for. Yes, a year on April 9th. You, Kayla, and the rest of the family will be in my prayers. Thank you much for stopping by, Janette. God bless~
I come back to here to remind myself that our family is not alone....Jacob's birthday was March 17th & it has almost been a 1 year since we lost him, I still cant believe he gone. Now I have to ask myself how I got thru days without him. ANSWER: Faith, support from all of you, family, friends, Also from strangers who know that freedom it not free and knowing that he is a HERO & will never be forgotten.
Putting together this particular years set of shots became more for me than just putting up photos.
As I was going through all of these images from the TTTT weekend many emotions once again surfaced. To be honest it's even more raw without the trappings of being in public, you know. And I got a chance to "see" alot of things I missed and think on them more.
So I became inspired and wrote small journal-style captions under some of them.
These are my own personal observations and don't 'necessarily' reflect the beliefs or standings of the Tribute to the Troops as an organization in any way.
This is my personal 'place' and it is my great pleasure to provide these photos and words, it is a labor of love.
As well, I fully allow the taking of any of my photos without payment or obligation whatsoever, I just ask that should you choose to use any of the photos I have in this or other albums here, that I get credit as the photographer. (e.g.: using pics for various "spaces" on the net etc...)
I enjoy hearing from people about what they see here, so please use the comment spaces if you feel so moved to.
Your welcome Rose, and you did a fantastic job playing the flute for this song -and I thought you just played the sax! It was great seeing you again, so glad you showed up :)
It was awesome to be standing next to Rockie on stage again. It felt as though only a week's time had passed since the last time I played with him. Thanks, Rockie! Thanks for taking the picture, Sue! Rockie sure has some great fans!
flogging, as in "flog your hog" (HD motorcycle): this always involves significantly elevated noise levels, a tight clamp on the brakes and the laying down of a fair amount of rubber.
