I have been natural and no lye for exactly 1yr and 6 months. I'm still learning about the napptural experience and journey but my question is... I have not did the big chop. I just stopped relaxing/perming my hair. So because I have not did the big chop, is my hair not really natural?? ******************************************************** You're definitely perm-free, but until you release your naps from the relaxed hair, you're technically not natural. I'm sure you have an idea of how your hair will behave when you chop, but those ends definitely weigh down your hair and cause it to act a bit differently. Are you hanging on to the ends for length? I would think you have more than enough natural hair to do the chop after well over a year. I certainly wouldn't want to push you if you're not ready, but you're going to have to do it at some point, and if you want truly natural, HEALTHY hair, you've got to let go of those ends! :D
That's what I love about natural hair. It's so no fuss. Keeps my stress level down. ********************************************************** Yesh! :D
Cute, cute, cute. Now if I wore my hair like this, I wouldn't even look like I hit puberty yet. lol. This is so adorable. ******************************************************** Yeah it does make one look young as heck! lol
LUV YOUR HAIR CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY HAIR GETS THAT LENGTH. I JUST DID THE BIG CHOP JULY 19,05 ********************************************************** Girl it will grow like wildfire on ya! :D
This is very pretty. Do you normally use Shealoe alone or do you mix flaxseed gel into it? ********************************************************** Just shealoe. My hair tends to hold shape really well. At least for a day! But I really do want to try the flaxseed gel.
i use shea on my face and body. with no oily problems. i use it only once a day now. at nite after i wash m face really good. then slather on shea. less in the summer months tho. in the winter i'm more prone to apply it twice a day. but only a LIL' BIT. never broke me out. *shrugs* but i know it's not for everbody. i've had oil-skinned folk email me saying it worked great. but there are folks who don't have the same results. just see what your skin likes. but if this works for ya, why switch up?
Great job on the twists. They look so uniformed. *********************************************************** Thks! It's easier to train em downward when the hair is already stretched.
