Did you take the "Sunrise over Herm Island" with your new compact Canon Camera? Its a beautiful picture.
I'm having such a hard time deciding between the small Canon (in Canada its called the S230) and the S45 (larger 3x zoon, 4 megapixel). I'm a novice and probably won't use a lot of the manual features, but I like the 3x zoom on the S45. Size is definately a factor, the smaller the better, but I hope I'm not loosing picture quality if I choose the small Canon.
Are you any relation to Pierre Gaudion & Ann Marie Hauquez (not sure if the surname is spelt correctly), my family in Australia are in the process of tracing ancestors from the Channel Islands who are from the Gaudion family, who I believe resided on the Island of Alderney and go back to the one of the oldest French families in the Channel Islands perhaps back in the early 1500's.
Please reply if you have any information on this history, it would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try to walk around the mill and find "NO WIRE" zone ? Also to much foreground (dirt) get closer or lift it up (can give you more convergence what is not much desirable anyway.) Chris

Tree is too dark, hidden (lost) details - POLARIZER needed, look at reflexions from glass on pics from the wall. Regards
