You did a good job but next time (if you ever do them again) I'd try doing them on dry hair (I can't tell if you did or not). And I wouldn't cut them all even. The even look is what makes them look unnatural and "raggedy-Annish".
You have such pretty hair. I love the soft look of your curls. Don't be so hard on yourself. I've seen you different styles and you're adorable in all of them!
hello, I agree about waiting for a little more length and especially keeping your hair moisturized with oils. i just got yarn twists in and i love it..costed me an arm n a leg. but i love it more than any other hair style i've had lol...i'll try and post pics on you tube (songbyrd3) I know how to do them now and she burned the ends. the yarn she used was by red heart and I've seen this brand in all craft stores ( michaels, joannes, and walmart) I would try again with a little more research on the way the twist is done. Remember it's not how tight you twist it but how well you roll and then twist! blessings on the next time!
I think it looks cute. so tell me how much of the yarn did you have to use for just one twist? I'm thinking of using yarn the next time I twist my hair. I think your hair looks very nice. Don't look like yarn at all. But I would be thinking the same thing too. That's just how I am. I'm always wondering what others think not that I care. But sometimes nice to just know.
That is too cute! We (Af-Ams, esp. Af-Am women) have internalized hating our natural hair so much that sometimes we can't see it for what it is: beautiful!
