I'm so happy I found my way back to your pics! I, thru Napp, had identified you as my hair twin. It wasn't until I found our journal and pics did I realize why I been so frustrated with my hair. I didnt understand that it was thick YET fine until I read your comments. Now..It doesnt mean I did suffer through the "whys??" but I still understood why a certain style had not been working for me. I recently did something with my hair that had me a little down and when I read your comments I instantly had a new perspective and will be able to move forward without moaning and looking back. I was also HAPPY to read that you, too, had gone to a salon where the stylist did not do what you had asked to be done. I had done the same thing and had been seething about the results. Now I can let it go and move on with just doing MY OWN DAMN hair! LOL. Thank you, LF. I so enjoy your journey.
Your comment perfectly explains why I keep this photo journal up. I'd toyed with closing it a few years ago, but I thought that if it could help just one person, it makes it worth it. Thank you so very much for your comment. It really touched me. I apologize for not replying sooner.
I have to say that although a part of me still pines for that long hair, I am really loving my TWA. And I've gotten so many compliments since I made the unexpected move to cut it all off. Do I know what's next for me as far as my hair is concerned? Nope, not a clue. But for now, this is what's working for me, and I'll embrace it.
Also, if you ever need to vent or if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If I can help in any way (even by simply listening), let me know.
I would ask that you keep this journal up and not take it down. It has been so helpful to me and I can imagine that it will help a number of other nappturals with fine hair as well :-)

as a fellow twa wearer, i like seeing other twa's. and yours looks great! maybe later you'll try the long styles again, but i love wearing short hair and i think you look fierce.....
You are definitely doing that style justice. Your bone structure is beautiful - I know people who would kill to have a neck like yours. Cheers to your new beginning.

Thank you! This neck was the target of some insults back in high school, but now that I'm older I have a greater appreciation for those things that make me different.
