I will bet you didn't have a pilot's license to fly that thing... What's that? You weren't flying? You need special qualifications to taxi an aircraft also...
I had one of these when I was a little guy, 1954. I lived at 1545 Irving Avenue in Sunnyside,WA. My mom bought me the jet at Amundsen's Hardware store, I think. I was able to ride on the sidewalk, couldn't ride in street where the cars lived, too dangerous and Mom would get the belt after me. Anyhow, the jet was so fast that I could alomost keep up with a bicycle rider riding alongside in the street while I was on the sidewalk. I could outrun any tricycle on the sidewalk and by pedaling as fast as I could go and locking one leg, I could make big long black marks with the rear tires on the sidewalk. The jet was also good for high-speed crashes into clusters of kids and trikes on the sidewalk, the long nose protected you from getting hurt too badly and it worked like a battering ram on the other kids. After several years, the paint wore off and the parents re-painted it and eventually, 1959, we moved to Othello, Washington and eventually the jet was replaced with a real bicycle and that was the end of it.

I have recently picked up a near complete 63' Ambassador 990 in need of restoration and was curious if you or someone that you know might be interested in buying it from the Oregon area for a low price.
Hi, I hope you can help. I am considerring buying a 63 Ambassador Cross Country and I want to put hitch on to pull a 1965 Airstream. Can a hitch be fixed to this car without to much problem and do you know what this car wieghts? Thanks for your help. Cheers, Gerry

I was surprised ot find your website. I expecially liked your missle. I recently have found a missle by Murray in an old barn. There's light surface rust, but besides that its perfect. Just wondering if you could tell me what its worth and is it worth more redone or left alone.
Your friend, Kevin Parvin
