Terrific photos, and wonderful that you are sharing them and the info on the condition of this beautiful historic cemetary. What a shame that it is closed to the public. Thanks for your time and effort to share this with the rest of us.

Thank you for the beautiful photos. My favorite uncle and members of his family are buried there. I hope to visit the next time I am in Philadelphia. He passed away Nov. 10, 1960 and I have not been there since the day of his burial.

I googled this cemetary and your lovely photos came up! my great great great grandfather was a prominent german-american in phila and is buried in this cemetary. his name is Gottlieb Theodor Kellner and supposedly, there is a statue of him or a monument at his grave. my grandmother always talked about it and my family is planning a trip to visit it. I was curious if you have a photo of it or if you remember seeing it? I will study these photos later when I have more time. thanks SO much for sharing your cemetary photos!

    Old main gate
This is unbelievable. With all the growth at the entrance, I wonder what the inside must be or if you can even walk though it?

I find your photos of the overgrown/neglected cemetery interesting. It is sad that no one maintains these places.

    Thanks for sharing this album.
