hello! wow! i can't believe i found nicky! i used to own this horse, and i never knew what happened to her. she looks great! seventeen years old? wow! i can't believe it!
Casino was a full brother to Cairo (see his photo in this directory). Casino was by *Witez II and out of Atabi who was sired by *Raseyn. This was a famous cross that produced a lot of athletes. Many of these horses were used for endurance rides and ranch work. Casino sired Tezal, who won Best of Condition in 50-mile rides. Casino was owned by a man in the Lewistown, MT area. We owned a half Arab daughter of his that got us started in Arabians and partbreds. Her son won an annual one-mile race 4 times in a row (he was never defeated).
Cairo was a full brother to Casino and they were both located in Montana. Cairo was owned by Carlton and Sarah Shaw, Bozeman, MT. He sired some nice athletic mares that the Shaws used in their breeding program and geldings that were used to ride in rugged mountains.
This awesome stallion is *KEM Safir, who's name was changed after he was imported. I own a 31 yr. old daughter of his named Queensilk. I e-mailed the last owner of *KEM Safir and this photo was the one she sent me. He was sired by Hadban Enzahi and out of Sahmet who was by Hadban Enzahi. He was imported from Germany to the U.S. and then to Canada.
*Carmargue was '85 World Champion Stallion, '86 Spanish National Champion as well as holding championships throughout Europe and England. He brought to the world a new line to Skowronek via his most beautiful son, Naziri, and his sons, daughters and descendants grace the world's most important Arabian breeding farms. As a sire he frequently transmitted his beauty but he consistently shortened backs, improved legs, added glorious action, smooth body, laid back shoulders, gave a tremendous hip and brought forth the most loving and kindly of temperaments. He truly was a horse of the gods...a fairy tale come to life...Pegasus without wings....there will never be another like him.
Is this the Bulwa, which was foaled in 1937 at Bábolna and then taken by the Germans during WWII to Germany and after the war to Poland, to Janow Podlaski?
26 Ibn Galal was foaled in Bábolna, her second name was Bint Magdi. Her mother was officially renamed 8 Momtaza when she became a broodmare at Bábolna.
She actually is a Hungarian Arabian, she was foaled in Bábolna, as the most of those horses with numbers included to their name. 23 was the broodmare number of Ghalion.
