Is this an actual advertisement for the sale of Wahana? I wonder what she sold for? I've been fervently trying to track down this mares 'history'. AHA only shows two owners of record. My focus has been on her last owner of record from 1967 one Francis Saueressig who died in 1984. I'm trying to track down when Wahana died, the cause and where her remains might be interred.
I dunno.... Vallejo Marquessa's markings are "star, strip and snip into right nostril to lip. Right fore partial pastern. Left fore stocking. Left hind partial fetlock." These all look like "partial" leg markings to me, and are quite high at their highest point- the hind one would certainly be more than a "fetlock".
I owned a Donoghue Araqbian who looked just like this, Im guessing your horse is descended from Pulque because of the color and look. Mine was a Pulque nephew, they got their coloroing from Rohanna. Carol where do you live, I will soon live in Frederickburg Texas, not far From Carol Wood who owned Pulque
Instead of criticizing, why don't you let Wendy know which horses are not CMK? A lot of work is put into this site; let's help support it by pointing out any mistakes so they can be corrected, instead of leaving "cryptic warnings" about supposed misinformation.
Whinny we affectionately named her the day she was born is a wonderful example of how nice and people oriented the CMK horses are.I'm proud to say we bred and raised her and many of her foals as well. The only nicer mare that could be found was her dam Miss Sarolle
I would like to echo his current trainers comments regarding Bey Ninja's great disposition. His previous owners brought him to my farm, Showcase Stables, in Memphis in the early 1990s for training and board. He had never been ridden previously. What a sweetheart and such a willing and intelligent guy! He progressed rapidly through lower level dressage, work over fences and I even trail rode him in groups of other horses without any problems. I was sad to learn later that his new trainers had difficulty with him . . . I have to say this had to have been a problem with the way he was handled rather than the disposition of the horse. For example, on one occasion, I allowed my 12 year-old god-daughter to ride him (supervised of course). He was wonderful with her and everyone at my facility adored his friendly, outgoing personality - not to mention his incredible good looks.
