  • Now we seem to be meeting on Wedsnesdays at 4pm. Most recent meeting was Oct 12, 2011
    the discussion focused on monochrome photo work. We discussed Photoshop tweaks for this, and several low cost photo programs you may want to google:
    Photo colorizer  --colorize BW photos with no layers - just a paintbrush, easily ..free trial, $15 to buy
    Recolor - do the same, but using automatic fills instead of a paintbrush free trial $30 to buy

    The next contest will run Jan 2011-Feb 2011 and any HH resident, not only photo club members, are free to submit photos and win.

    No reason you can't get started taking pictures anytime from now on, so here are the particulars:

    CATEGORIES:
    Within the Borders of Arizona
    Action
    Landscape
    People- under 18 years of age
    People- 18 years of age and over
    Architecture
    Macro photo- closer than 2 feet
    Wildlife

    CONTEST WINNERS:
    Winner and 2 honorable mentions in each category.
    Winners are chosen by any and all residents voting on their top choice in each category.
    Honorable mentions will be those photos receiving 2nd and 3rd most votes.

    OTHER (IMPORTANT):
    You must submit photos printed 5x7 and matted on cardboard (no frames) so they can be hung up in the hallway for residents to vote.
    Hand them in at the desk. Your name and category on the back. Photo titles optional.

    Apr 15 -Our “project” for that day is Wild flowers. Between not and the meeting, your assignment is go out a take photos of wild flowers. By April 11 you are to submit or email me your best shots (maximum of 4 photos.)

    All photos must have been shot Mar 15-Apr 15 and submitted beforehand. Read album Current Contest for how to do this
