Corn....I think it is due to hit Revell's domestic distribution system in about six weeks or so, which means you should be able to buy it sometime in August. Best regards...TIM
Tim, was this the car you totally filled up with models from some old hobby shop, a long time ago....? I remember you told me about it when we met in '81.
This build was inspired by a number of 1/1 scale Allison boats that were built in the 1960's, including one by famous boat builder/drive Rudy Ramos. And no, they don't sink due to the wieght of the engine!
This is the first of a series of detail photos of my real 1/1 scale 2007 Mustang GT Convertible. They are included here to help you accurately detail your own replica of the current generation Mustang GT convertible.
For complete details on how to build this model in 1/25th scale, see the October 2008 issue of SCALE AUTO magazine, which has a seven page feature article on building the model you see in this photo. (www.scaleautomag.com)
I built this model for two reasons...first to replicate my 1.1 car which is just a total blast, and second to serve as a tow vehicle for my 1/25th scale Harley kitbash. Note the wheels match between the trailer and the car. TIM
Note here we've replaced the Hemi Hydro seats with the original Varroom issue seats...which unlike the Hemi Hydro parts, match the side panel upholstery exactly...see later in this folder for a picture with the original "Varrooom" headers replacing those shown here....TIM
Built as per the Hemi Hydro reissue....with that kit's headers and seats....see later in this folder for a revised version with the original 1963 "Varroom" issue seats ....and even later in the folder for the original 1963 headers replacing the ones shown here
Note in this latest version (vs. the previous 2 versions shown earlier in this folder), I have now added the original "Varooom Show 'n' Go" rear headers to match the original seating added earlier...the first photo in this folder shows the kit as originally built with the Hemi Hydro seats and headers.....the "Varoom" seats and header to backdate the model are from Norm Veber at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland....TIM
