WOW. I lived in Euclid from birth until 1982. I still have relatives there but haven't been back since 2003. Things have really changed. It was a great place to grow up and I remember the Mall when it first opened. I even worked there for awhile during high school. I guess you can't always go back home. What a difference from where I live now (North of Denver). New shopping centers/malls were built 15 miles from each other until '08 when the recession hit. On my commute home from work, I pass at least 3 Bed, Bath & Beyonds, Dick's Sporting Goods, etc... Unlike most areas, you still wouldn't know there is a recession because the stores and restaurants are always busy. I've wanted development to slow down for the past 10 years, I guess I better be careful of what I wish for.
Anyone from EHS class of 78?

I also worked at the mall in the maintenance dept from 1987 to 1995. It was the best job I ever had. We had so much fun there it didn't even seem like a job. There was such a variety of things to do there. It's sad that it had to end. I remember one time there was a helicopter hovering over the mall. The one security guard there called the security director over the radio to ask what he should do about it. The security director came over the radio and told him to shoot it down. (security didn't carry guns at that time) So funny!

I have to disagree with the clothes being junk.
I just went Monday and my biggest deal was getting $180 shoes for $20. Goodbye over priced malls.

I grew up in Euclid in the late 70's up to the late 80's. The area was always rather poor. I lived on Babbitt Road and had many fond memories of going down to the Euclid Square mall. When this Toys R Us opened I was still quite young and was so excited. It is such a shame that Euclid hit even harder times in the 90's.

    Bank One Side

That would make a fine dwelling with some adjustments and appliances. And carports to boot.

Does this mean you aren't allowed to shoot smokers?

Or are you not allowed to shoot non-smokers.

    I'm very confused!!!!

I have so many great memories from this mall.. more then any other mall. We would go to church and every sunday go to the esm to eat at york steak house... then just go in tons of stores. Remember the cool things that had going on in the middle. They had a guy dressed as Spiderman doing gymnastics. My cousin was with them.. so cool wow that was in the the early 1980's.. sad to see how messed up euclid as become. :(
