So constables are being used like private police forces in some areas of Texas? Paid by (and therefore accountable to) little rich white gated communities? That's almost as bad as the practice in NYC of letting buisnesses (or anybody with the money, really) rent uniformed cops as scarecrows for their stores and events. Cops up there get rented out for cocktail parties and celebrity birthdays. It has really become a disgraceful, two-tiered system of police protection. I'm sorry to hear something like that is happening in Texas too.

They all seem very interested in their radio mics. The dog is the only one observing.

This seems to be east 14th street looking towards the East River. They'll be lucky to get anywhere on that street in under thirty minutes.

Great-looking car; but I still think that the new Charger looks much better with black "steelies" than with those plastic mag-style wheel covers.

I bet brake dust is going to be a problem!

This is just a wild guess, totally off the cuff: Cleburne, Texas.

Of course she's somebody's daughter. Do you think she was made in a laboratory?

Yes, I'd recognize that place anywhere. Midtown South contains the theater district and Times Square. Those two pallid, heroin-thin figures on the left are yuppies. They are the masters of the "new" New York City. We natives are supposed to tip our hats and move out of the way when they pass. They are particularly strong in Midtown South, as it contains the MTV studio, Virgin Megastore, and the new Toys 'R Us with the ferris wheel in it.

Sweet Jesus, that is an ugly car. I'm sorry, but it really is.

I tell you, this picture warms my heart. That's the REAL New York City. Before the terror attack, before massive gentrification, before annual brown-outs, and before 500% rent hikes; when things still made a certain ammount of sense here.

I think these things are ugly as hell.

It's a pretty slick car no matter the comments on the overhead lights. It's not the older Whelen edge that's for sure. I remember when SC cops were lucky to get a Ford Galaxie 500 or a Chevy Bel Air cop car in the old days, single blue beacon ray light on top, blackwalls with dog dish hubcaps, two channel Motorola radio. Does this vehicle have 4-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive? Moreover, is this vehicle equipped with Hemi?
