That comment might have been cute if it weren't for the fact that this car is from NEW YORK instead of Louisianna and Sheriff's car in the movie was GREEN. Aside from that, you're 100% dead-on.

"You picked the wrong parish to haul ass through boy, nobody cuts and runs on sheriff JW Pepper, and it's him talking, by the by." Classic.

I'm sorry if this isn't a worth while question, but how much use is a pick up truck to a Police Dept.?

I love Chevy Bel Airs, ever since I saw Live and Let Die, which strongly over uses Bel Airs. Chevy Must've sponsored the film or something.
Greg, this truck was slated for SWAT but it did not fit their criteria. It was recently assigned to TRU and has been marked and retrofitted as an incident response vehicle. We will try and get you a picture of it soon.

Yes, we did. In 79, 80 & 81, we used the combination of Dodge St. Regis' (all 3 yrs), Chrysler Newports (79) and Plymouth Furys (80 & 81)

I agree with you anonymous. I like the colors of the car and the stripe but something is lacking. Maybe a full size version of the patch on the front door or something else is needed.

These were taken at an anual event in Dallas that is put on by a local radio personality(sic).
I don't know what the Nevada Taxi authority dose but having been a cab driver in FL. I know that there are many rules and regs that cab drivers have to follow. Regs like number of passengers, seatbelt use, meter use and yes even vehicle lighting. I would then assume that the Taxi Authority would enforce the regs for the taxi's in a large city so the police can be free to answer call from the public.
