Surely you jest! Two images, one with transparency, layered into one? Okay, maybe not "jest." This is quite a view and the natural?? framing is good.
Kudos!
I'm going to add you to my friends list so that the few stragglers who wander through my corner of Fotki will, hopefully, come over here and see your good work.
You have some very good, artistic skill in framing images. The perspective in this image is well out of the norm and as far as I'm concerned well thought out... (even if the thinking dated back through years of shooting)
I lived many years in western North Carolina and I thought for sure the Blue Ridge Mountains ran from eastern Tennessee, through N.C. and into the Virginias. :-(
Teasing aside, I've not seen many images that so masterfully layer mountain ranges with so subtile color density changes without losing uniformity and appearing grainy.
If you've been reading my comments in the order I've written them, then you know I am fond of mtn ridges that are "layered," giving a real sense of depth and the nice effect of the light on each more distant layer being diffused. Again, your framing is excellent.
Excellent composition. Basically only four colors. Subdued color tones are spot on! Good take on of the pattern(s) of the rising, silhouetted mountain, topped of with the tree.
I have a few coffee table type photo books of China's famed mountains and I sometimes dream about going there. The spire-like limestone mountains are magnificent.
You have some very worthy images and I am most grateful to get to see them. Thank you.
PS: Yes, this is another well executed composition. Your use of the Rule of Thirds works beautifully here. Your position also allows for what approaches parallel lines with the foreground slopes and that of the cup shape in the distance. The bottom left rock rises up to compliment the left side of what I'm calling a cup shape in the background. The simple color scheme, provided by nature of course :-) and the sun-lit highlights add their own power to this image.
The vertical shot shows more size perspective of this mtn to that behind it. In this shot, the yellow highlights on the tress, all seemingly horizontal, is very pleasing. Excellent image.
Gorgeous! Good composition with the Rule of Thirds, layering, radiating lines from the sun and repeated patterns and lines of the upper clouds. Good depth in this scene.
Maybe I should take the blue ribbon of that other shot and put it on this one. I love the color scheme, repeated patterns and lines and the depth of this scene. Kudos to you! :-)
