Wikipedia says Peruphasma schultei can be found in Northern Peru... where did you find it? :)

I have a few of them in a terrarium in my home :) But they do come from Peru originally :)

I see! How do you feed them? What do they eat?

Finally we have a Reply tool and we don't need to Edit comments! How cool is that!? :)

They eat a few of our garden plants, Syringa sp and Ligustrum sp. The latter one is an evergreen, so even in winter I can cut some branches of these in the garden and supply fresh food for them :)

Oh yeah, I just noticed the reply tool, and was so excited I had to tell my girlfriend about it :) I've been missing this since a few years back when I joined fotki in 2001 :)

I've tried a few other photosites over these years I've been here: nothing comes close, its fotki > all in this household :D

Wow, they eat plants, that's great!

Sorry that it took as that long to do it! :-) Usually very important and cool features stay on the shelf for years, while we developing something else, which is not that exciting but useful, and then somebody calls or writes us about it, we have to jump and just do it! :)))

Have you seen our Fotki Feed, it's another very important and cool feature! Using Fotki Feed I found your lovely bug!

            http://friends.fotki.com/feed/

Thanks for good words about Fotki! Please don't hesitate to write to me if you are waiting for something!

Another neat thing, is now you can embed into photo comments any photo from any album, by using our [photo] tag, for example:

Yeah, I noticed the fotki feed a few days back, really great feature that too :)

Well, now that we have the reply function for the comments, i guess the same function would be awesome in the guestbook... not that I use the guestbook as much as I do comments, but it would still be nice :)

And now a test for picture in comments :P

    Ocypus melanarius larvae

Just take a look at the tarsi - two claws, typical for Carabidae. This is either Pterostichini or Agonini larva, not a polyphagan beetle.

    Linyphia triangularis

Sorry to bother, but this spider and the ones in the following pictures (5-15) are not L. triangularis, but Metellina segmentata or M. mengei.
    Nice photos though
