That is a very impressive photo! Look how clear everything is past the few heads in front of the camera....wow! I really am impressed for the quality during this time! - Bob Black
FINISHED #28 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK Series build. As I type this I see two spots I have to touch up with the green paint, did not notice it till it hit the screen. Grill could use a wash also, guess I will do that also.
Interesting kit detailing to the engine and chassis, Revell Monogram did a good job on this stuff in 1997 - date of this kit, they are all well detailed. Incidently I used the auto stores pin striping tape to do the black on the windshield and rear window, came out real nice. Sanded down the tires on a dremel for a used look. Paint is Rustoleum Emerald Green - real nice stuff to work with. I just painted a '49 ford and a '68 Vette sedan delivery with it, really like this stuff.
This is a working truck and when I am done weathering it, the windows will look more natural. Here I have started a dirt pattern, and it will be clear where the wipers are, and dirty above it, but I was not happy with the way it looked and stopped. I have some clear plastic I am experimenting on and when I have it down pat, will go back and finish this truck, and the off road jeep. Thanks for looking. Ron
This is a Corvette Sedan Delivery Resin build, using a 1968 Corvette as a donor. Body is done with Rustoleum Gloss Real Orange Paint over lt gray prime.
My first die-cast build, this is a Maisto Assembly Line model, picked up for $2 at a flea market for parts, but decided to build it. Good looking shelf model, what the heck, took me all of 2 hours, including detailing the exhaust and the engine compartment with assorted Metalizers.
