Thanks You!  I love these Willys and this was a fun build. The door hinges are a great improvement over the dog leg type it came with.

This is just some brass C channel pressed onto the diecast frame and a rear cross bar to extend the frame some.

On this 1/18 model the running boards are molded as part of the frame and fenders. I cut the running boards from the frame using a rotary type cutter.

This model has a plastic frame so it was easy. I cut the rails at the rear and heated the frame at the front spring mount and bowed the rails in some. I then added square tube styrene (the white pcs) to the inside of the rail to reconnect the frame.
