perry,

I love this picture. The greatest thing about it is the spots on the wings that make it look like eyes.

Well have a great day.

Love,
Bailey

are they dangerous if you come upon them - do they go up on the porches - looks like they're too close for comfort

Susi,

Thank you for your comments on images. For the most part they are accostumed to people in and around Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone, but, yes, they can be unpredictable and dangerous at times.

it's amazing shot, with all that dirt kicked up,and it's all clear, it looks like they are heading right for you.

Very nice. Why is he guarding the river? Is Evansville that dangerous a place? lol

A question. Why is there a strong "staring" effect on those two lamps to the left of the steps and not so strong on any of the rest? Wait! I just answered my own question. The ones along the pathway behind the steps seem to have dark tops to them putting the light on the path and not in a walker's eyes.. That could explain it. Did you use some kind of filter to achieve that result?

Mike,

All of the images in this folder were photographed at f1.4 or f1.2 except for this one which was at f16 or f22. The higher apperature settings give you the star like light pattern, but don't ask me why.

Thanks for your comments on images.

Interesting. I've not noticed that before. I'll give it a try.
