I built this kit in the 80's but no longer have it, I am interested in buying and building it again, can you tell me if the hood is solid or open for the scoop ?. I would like to build it without the scoop and don't want to fill the hood in to make it solid. Nice colors look forward to checking back to see the completed work. Thanks Charlie
