Did you know that Quaker (or Monk) Parrots are living wild in Brooklyn and City Island, New York, and in New Jersey?

I lived on City Island for nearly 2 years and never saw or heard of them. I just recently learned that there are large colonies of them.

Looks like ours and momma is sitting on nest behind our house. One neighbor snapped a shot when matting.
