Did you experience a lot of breakage transitioning? Could you address that process. We have the same hair texture and I am transitioning. It has been 6 months so far. I have tried transitioning before but this time I will succeed! My relaxed hair is to my mid-back. My scalp is extra sensitive. Last time I went to the hair dresser she broke off a lot of hair off because she claimed she didn't have time to be gentle; Time was money to her. I don't want to have to go to another hair dresser for a relaxer. Relaxers hurt me anyways. If you get a bad relaxer your hair can fall out. There are too many variables. Plus, I love my natural wavy texture. My mom does not want me to go natural because my relaxed hair is so long. I am torn. I would like to know more about your transition period. Please help. Sincerely your hair twin, Amanda
In your videos can you go over your current hair regiment? I see tons of product reviews but what do you actually use? Sincerely, your hair twin Amanda! PS sooooo glad I found someone with the same hair texture as mine. I thought I was all alone.
Amanda from Chicago again. We have the same hair texture! The shrinkage in your hair scares me. My hair is so long relaxed. With this texture is will appear short (in its wavy state) for a long time. Geeesh. It is still lovely.
I wrote a comment before about how you are my hair twin. I am transitioning. I was so sad my hair was not curly but wavy. My waves are small like yours. I looked all over youtube to find someone with the same texture. I am so glad I found you. Shout out to Amanda from Chicago in one of your videos please. :)
I am currently transitioning. I looked all over youtube for someone with wavy hair like mine. Your hair is my hair exactly. I have tighter s curls in the bottom. So cool. Don't stop your videos. I need them! You are my hair twin :).
I agree. Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks also for the video on how you define your curls. I'm 2.5 years natural, after having been permed forever, and I'm still learning how to take care of my hair. Videos like yours are a big help!
Thanks! I don't think it's heat damage because I rarely straighten. My hair on the front left hand side is just looser than the rest. When I first BCed I kept seeing the ends were straight and kept cutting it coz I thought it was heat damage or leftover relaxed ends but it turns out that's just how my hair is.
Well, you still have very beautiful hair. :) If you go to my blog at http://www.healthy-gurl.com you can read about the some difficulties I have had early on with my hair texture. I will be updating my fotki page soon, I experimented with henna and hated it. I mainly did it for conditioning. Total Waste of my Time.
