Have you heard of the Instyler (flat iron w/rotating brush)? Well, a coworker and I purchased together (buy one get one for $119) and she loves it (caucasian hair). I on the other hand, attempted to use and got tired after straightening a quarter of my head. I may give it one more chance or it will end on ebay as well. Some of these irons don't work for all hair types, especially my thick mcnappies.
On the other hand, Ive heard great things about the CHI.

so, you apply the oil to your scalp as well as your hair?
Reply: Have to be very careful what I apply to wth scalp, my scalp is extremely sensetive and will break out, so just to the hair, I only apply coconut oil to the scalp once a week.
So the henna does not have any color, the color comes from the tea bags?
Reply: Both, Body Art Quality Henna has a natural orangish reddish tint already so the tea just aids that reddish color, I love it, in the sun it looks marveluos. Be careful though once you Henna you cannot mix with other hair dyes and can only use Sodium Hydroxide chemicals, it does not mix well with other chemicals, just an FYI!
How long do you leave this in your hair as I read somewhere that some ladies leave the mix in overnight to be honest I cannot sleep with this stuff in my hair. What is the best effective way to get this to work with no having to sleep with this stuff in overnight.
Reply: No need to leave it in overnight, I just want the color so I usually leave it in for 2-3 or 4 hours at most. Others use it for the conditioning properties but to be honest, my hair always feels harsh after henna and I need a really deep conditioner! So I just use it for covering greys and not for conditioning, can't sleep with my hair wet and gooey either! The trick is getting the dye to release before you apply it to the hair. I mix and let sit at room temp overnight and apply the next day. My mix ingredients are in my albums but consists of: honey, six bags of red zinger tea (made w/ 3/4 - 1 cup of water), OJ, a few drops of lavendar, I mix to yogurt like consistency and cover with it. I do not heat it, I just place it on the counter and go to bed.
