Peter, Your quiz was a lot of fun...thanks for all your work that went into creating it for us Fotkins...Thanks for including Bruce and I in the quiz too.
Peter, this was a lot of fun! Thank you for taking the time to do it for all of us! Not only did it show us who we did know but it probably helped us to remeber those we did not know!!!
what kind of bread is this Peter? It looks a bit spongy...and light too
=======
It's home made in the breadmaker. Sandra puts it in in the afternoon and it's ready to come out when I get there about 6:30 pm after work. The whole Farmhouse smells of fresh bread baking, it's great!
they have a different colour from ours...is that because of the sand?
=======
Yes, probably because of the dirt, they can get pretty dirty. Some of the really fine wool merino breeders even put little coats on them to keep the wool clean, but not out here in the outback.
that does not look very comfortable...I mean for the lambs...does it hurt?
========
Yes it does hurt, but it's much better than being eaten alive by maggots when they get flyblown - a big problem over here. Mulesing makes the skin tighter around their rear end and the wool doesn't grow as thick, so it stays cleaner and less attractive to flies to lay their maggots there.
