My grandpa used to have an old-timer like this......only a three-wheeler with a "cooler-like" box behind the driver. He used to haul all his tools to work in there....plus getting groceries. It was cool to see him and grandma going shopping on that thing. Cool bike.
Yup.....just like racing bikes, improvising on the spot is essential. Mostly bailing wire and duct tape holding them together.
I remember once finding a young guy on a Honda that wouldn't "go." Wouldn't turn over; wouldn't kick over. I immediately thought "fuse." He had NO idea where the fuses were. I found them and, sure enough, blown fuse. Of course, he had no spare and my Beemer uses those old ceramic fuses that are incompatible. I didn't want to cut his wires, so I wadded up a piece of aluminum foil (I always carry some of that for emergencies) and shoved it in the fuse cartridge. Turned right over and probably got him home. IMPROVISE! LOL
I don't know a whole lot about the differences among all these "bloke" cycles. I imagine the R.E. is pretty much like my old Triumph Thunderbird. Too bad you don't have info about each of these bikes. This one appears to be in pretty good shape.
I want to get a couple of your photos of Charlotte to print onto canvas for my granddaughter's birthday. Is there anyway I can download it from your webwsite?
