I dont like lamb, if it was beef roast I would say yummy. Oh well I will eat the roast potatoes and corn though.

Annie & Daiho's Baby Ultrasound 120808 at 14 weeks

I only see four tentacles there, but otherwise the shape is about right.

Congratulations to Annie and Daiho!

If you want to see how far ultrasound has come, here are my kids from the 80s:

I like the gold glow in Annie’s, and the clarity is amazing – although not clear enough here to tell if it’s a boy or a girl. Do you know?

No, not yet, we're trying to find our boys ultrasound photos too to compare them, but they're certainly nothing like the quality of Annie's one.

Model A Ford rally at St Stanislaus Bathurst 180408 010

This album is wonderful Peter. It brought back so many memories of when I was a baby biologist. I was fortunate to have grandparents who had a summer place on a lake. ALL the grandchildren would spend the summer out there with them. Grandpa and my uncles had this exact Model A. It was known to us as the "Putt-Putt" because of the sound it made when running. They actually sawed off the back end of it and built a wooden box on the frame. It was used to haul gravel from the pit to the swamp to fill it in.....when that sort of thing was still legal to do. We kids spent a lot of time shoveling gravel! It was always a treat to ride in the back of the putt-putt to go to the store on the other side of the lake. My Uncle Steve, the usual driver, would always have a shot and a beer (locally it was known as a "Boilermaker") and we kids would always have a soda at the tavern on the way home (the store and tavern were one-in-the-same).

It was an amazing auto. It would sit all winter outside and in the springtime we'd chase the mice out from under the front seat, put a buzz on the battery (6-volt), dribble a little fresh gas into the tank, clean out the float bowl and it would fire right up after sitting all that time in bad weather. Amazing auto. I remember, occasionally, having to "back up" some exceptionally long hills because of the gravity feed gas tank. If the hill was steep, there wouldn't be enough gas in the line and float bowl to last all the way up the hill....so they had to back up. That old "A" would go through 30 inches on snow like it was nothing. Amazing auto.

supercheap auto??? right, I don't buy that one! LOL

=======

Supercheap Auto are an auto parts store chain that sponsor a lot of motor racing including the big race here at Bathurst in october. These shots were taken at maximum zoom plus some digital zoom, so they're a bit bodgy, but I wanted to catch these great old cars on the race track. I thought they were going to do a lap of the mount so I got myself in a good spot to get them coming under the bridge but they all turned around and came back down the other way!!

Hello Pete! Your photo collection is quite stunning. I don't suppose you got to attend this year's Royal Easter Show? I had a wonderful time, but forgot to bring my camera!
