I just looked at the Exif details....ISO 64. That's unheard of. The lowest setting seen on digital cameras is ISO 100. How low can your Fuji go?
======
ISO 64 - 6400 the 6400 will give you an image you can see in the dark, but there's too much noise to be of any real use. The camera has good features, a massive zoom 18x Optical 5.1 digital, (27-486mm) 8 megapixels, but it's a compromise & I dream of a camera like yours mate !! =========== Most things in life are compromises, eh? Don't dream.....just get it. I saved/dreamed for years and years and years always putting it off because I couldn't "afford" it. One morning I woke up and the answer was clear. I don't have that many years left......how long can I keep putting it off? So I went for it. No regrets.
The Warrumbungles is the remnants of a large, heavily eroded shield volcano (google) ============ I know all about shield volcanoes. I've even stood on the edge of an active one in Hawaii and looked over the edge. FANtastic.
How many images do you combine? 3? 5? How many stops apart? Or do you just do this as an app right in your camera (one shot and then processed in-camera)?
==========
My camera can only do three +/- 1 EV, I process them afterwards with Photomatix mostly. It's quick which is what I like.
Just having my lunch - self-baked whole-grain bread with cheese and a bowl of freshly blended veggies and fruit - while I look at the pics and I realize that eating bread just got another dimension :D
Hey Peter - you're getting really good at catching the light like this - and with the dramatic sky, it's makes just a wow of a shot. Really well done mate.
A frog will leap out of a pot of boiling water if you toss one in. However, if put the frog in the pot of cool water and you bring the temperature up slowly...
I don't know if I would call that an orgy Myra. My first thought was to look around for head hunting cannibals from Papua New Guinea get'n ready to stick a fork in them to see if they are done yet.....
