I was your friend, Jackie Heim. We were friends in junior high mostly. Lots of memories hanging out in your basement and also of popcorn making at your house. In these days of reconnection, I have thought about you. Did you marry, have children? Did you end up being a dancer? Would love to hear from you.
hello, i was searching facebook for sam karahalis and happen to see this pic on google. I am an old friend of his from south meck highschool. Id love to get in touch with him and say hello. If you wouldnt mind telling him? my name is janette patrick and my email is mailto:janettepatrick@aol.com thank you
Judge Diver, with the highest respect, does not look like a Citadel grad---his hair is way too long and I do not see the cherished ring.............plus he smiles to much; not the mark of an El Cid Grad.
All true! We communicate fairly frequently, Hizzoner and Charlie have visited me in Miami and vice versa. In '76, I dropped in on him in San Diego while he was in law school (before AF) and his hair was well below his shoulders. We were great friends at El Cid - I was in Band Company for most of my 2 years, then went to M company. We shared a ride from the Charleston airport to visitation weekend when we were seniors in high school and have been friends ever since. I, too, am a rebel and I'll never be any good.
Yeah, Dave and I were in Lima Company together and he was one of my best friends. I left The Citadel after third class year (have always had some regrets), I need to make a reunion soemtime. Must be when you went to M Company is when you got to know him........We had some memorable experiences as knobs and such......I roomed with Bill Brandenburgh second half of knob year and third class year............
Yes, I remember your name well enough, although I cannot place an image in my mind. My only regrets about leaving were the connections. I surely got an equal or better education at USC (Carolina), but among 30,000 students, I was just another kid. The connections through the Citadel are invaluable. I have found, however, that the grads whom I run into (like on Facebook) are quite accepting. I have been urged to attend a reunion, but cannot justify it except to see Hizzoner.
Do you know that old sod has been doing triathelons for 10 years now? Hell, I cannot even pick up 6 bottles of wine and not have my back go out.
In the late 1970's, I used to work at a company called Reeves Teletape with a guy named Leon Karahalis. We worked in the Syndication Dept. Any relation?
Uh, yeah, that would be me, although the picture you commented on was of my cousin. And you? MB? DP? MARIA I.? Jim?
Maria Iovieno Swieciki here - wow! I do remember working with Leon Karahalis back in the Syndication Dept. of Reeves. I was there from 1976 until 1980. I wonder whatever happened to Tom (Buffalo) Grenda and Tim Bandura? I think Tim might be with HBO now and last I heard, many years ago, Tom was with CBS (?) I keep in touch with Connie Abruzzo, Claudia Gleason and Janice Fadel (Sound Shop). Would love to hear from some old friends. I'm married over 25 years now and have 3 grown kids. Where have the years gone? e-mail me at: mailto:thebigr@optonline.net
