Yeah, he's an awesome dog! He was eventually adopted by a nice man in the South End of Boston. One of the best neighborhoods for dogs in any city in the US, and he's very happy. He was an awesome dog and we miss him a lot.
Thanks! I have to admit, however, that it wasn't my shot. My wife and I volunteer for a dog rescue organization called Underdog ResQ (www.underdogresq.com) and this dog, Joey, was one of our fosters. This picture, and others in the album, were taken in order to create their calendar for 2009 to raise money, and my wife set up the scene for the photographer to shoot; she liked the skull :)
This is one part of the living room that has undergone many evolutions. At this point, it is simply the bar and dinner table area. Later, it became my closet, while the guest bedroom was being redone. We're thinking about making it an office.
We met Gene Wilder! Michelle & I had tickets and were towards the front of the line, each with a book for him to sign. Michelle had told me that her dad was a huge fan, but had neglected to tell me that Gene was specifically not personalizing anything. Without this knowledge, I walked right up to him and said, "Uncle Milty," Milton's nickname, which caused Gene to laugh out loud and ask, "What in the world does that mean?" I, realizing what was going on, mumbled something, and he signed my book and I went sheepishly on my way.
We tried to post this picture to hotornot.com and were rejected for the following reasons:
# Contact information, such as an URL or email address, written on the photo or in your introduction. # Nudity, pornography, or sexually suggestive poses. HOT or NOT is strictly PG. # You are wearing lingerie, underwear, etc. See above. # You look like you are under 18. # Group photos. It is unclear which person is supposed to be you. # The photo appears to be that of a model or celebrity.
Now, I think it was actually the last reason, but it's more likely that the nudity/pornography thing got in the way :)
