EARLY ARRIVALS

I love coming to thunder each year i always attend both days this show had so many rare planes it was awsome. Maybe next year they can gather up all the airworthy grumman planes or the 4+ spitfires that are airworthy along with some hurricanes that would be one show that I would never want to leave anyways I enjoyed the pics you can never have enough pics of B-17's

Would like to inquire about getting permission to use this pic in an 8th Air Force veteran's newsletter.

What a fantastic sight! I served on a combat air crew with the 490th BG, 8th Air force. My son and grandsons were there, also

WOW, very nice composition! The sky, the sun, wow, what it almost seems difficult to describe.

That would be the A-Team. I've already had emails from some of the rookies thanking me for letting them work and hoping they can do it again next year!

Why in the world would someone trust these two guys to run a show?

This was the most moving thing I've seen in a long time. This picture captures the moment just before the peel-away. Great shot.

EARLY ARRIVALS

This was the biggest gathering of B17's for years. The sound of all 8 of them warming up together before the massed flight was indescribable, and probably won't be heard again. The "missing wingman" flyover using B17's brought tears to my eyes, and to those around me.

Yes there were other planes (P47's, P51's, ME109, B24's, B25's, and more). This was a phenomenal airshow.

Great photo's!
