Judging from the proximity of the Rotunda, I would guess this picture was taken somewhere within the Ford Rouge complex. The Rotunda was moved after the Chicago World's Fair ended, and rebuilt sometime in the mid thirties,
This is a Cessna 152 that was caught in huricane Hugo. American Christian Aviation, Pontiac Airport bought it for their A & P school. We used it to train the engine mechanics to remove, overhaul, and replace the Lycoming O-235. The picture was taken as I was taxiing it back to our hangar from and air show at Pontiac Airport Jer p.s. Yes we did use it for taxi training
I was a Crew-Chief ON the F-4C #555 in 1970 at Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson Arizona with the 4453rd Combat Crew Training Wing. Seeing this very special Phantom is wonderful. Thankyou for taking good care of her. SGT Jim Runion.
Yeah that is Jack alright! He was here in Florida about 5 months ago, at a Ford dealership that sells his cars! He flys? Is the P-51 his plane? I am sure he has the money to own one.
No, he doesn't own one...he owns two! We hope to see the newest one, a P-51B model at THUNDER OVER MICHIGAN. Jack flies?? Uh, yeah...and when we hear that Mustang going over the hangar, everyone stops what they're doing and goes outside to watch. Before 9/11, I saw him do a few aerobatic maneuvers above Michigan International Speedway. I'm sure he could be an airshow pilot if he wanted to.
