wonderful capture!!!

Whats the rule about no tripods in DC? I've heard about getting a permit. Is this true?

REPLY: I have used tripods throughout DC, and was only hassled once by a security guard, and that was inside the Lincoln Memorial. I believe the no tripod policy only applies to "indoor" environments, much the same as at most museums.

Beautiful sharp image, despite no tripod being used!

Actually, a tripod was used for this 3.2 second exposure. The flag was blowing in the wind.

This is awesome! 25 sec. exposure - did you have a ND filter?
