Another of Brian Austin's intermingling of Rail and automotive hobbies with a 1/25 rail riding car like the kind used to do rail inspections. The railroad base is entirely scratchbuilt.
More of Brian Austin's work. If I recall correctly the train is a unaltered model railroad piece, the trailer is almost completely scratchbuilt, and the tractor is a modified diecast.
I did not even realize until reviewing this Photo that this piece was done by Jim Drew. Jim's 1/12 Grand Sport won the Best in show. He also had a nice 1/24 1969 Camaro Summit Dragster on display as well.
Some of the cars displayed on the theme including a 1967 Chevelle SS, a 1966 Chevelle SS, a 1965 GTO (builders unknown) and a 1970 Chevelle SS built by Jason Rothgeb
1967 GTO by Steve Goldman. This may have been the boxart car for the recently reissued 67 Goat by Racing Champions since he has done a number of Boxart cars for them of late.
Even though there are a lot of cars in this shot, the "featured cars" are the Red Exotics of builder Jamie Makin. They are, Left to Right: Tamiya'a Enzo Ferrari, Revell's Ferrari Modena Spyder, and Testor's Lamborgini Silhouette. The Paint is Tamiya Italian Red out of a spray can over white primer in the case of the Enzo and over grey primer in the Case of the Modena. The red on the Lambo is I think some plasticote red. Jamie is a PACM member.
Builder: Jason Rothgeb Kit:Revell(Revell of Germany Tooling) Details: Exterior is Tamiya Clear over Tamiya Yellow Spray cans while the interior features Tamiya Desert Sand on the seats and Krylon's "Make It Suede" Beige was used on floor. The kit was assembled Box Stock. Overall a nice kit with some fit issues on the Chassis (warped) and the windsheild (gap between the windsheild and the frame).
