Hello, The kit is quite detailed. The engraving and textures through out, are also very accurate. In my opinion. ;) I have gone over the top in many aspects of my build, not at all necessary for a great display piece. This build up photo is from HLJ website in Japan. http://static.hlj.com/images/tam/tam12010.jpg
Yes, suspension is functional from the kit. I cut and slightly lowered mine. Also has fully working steering, from the steering wheel. :) Doors, hood (bonnet) and rear hatch all open in standard kit form. No mods required there. Though, some "tweaking" may be necessary to obtain a nice fit of all the opening panels. My doors kind of hang "open" slightly at the top, but very careful massaging gets that fixed.
I know I have added numerous small mods to it, but honestly, it is NOT necessary... Mine will be slightly over-the-top once finished.....LOL. :) cheers Greg
Hey Steve, Nice to see you here man. :) Hey, sent word to you via the shop information contact section. Included my email, in case it don't display it correctly. Hear from you soon mate. Greg
I love what your doing , the car looks amazing . What are you using to heat your tubing and last are you using some type of templets to keep your bends consistant.
Thanks Leonard. :) I'm just using a regular lighter to heat and bend Leonard. Very carefully.....LOL. ;) So far, it's all eye-ball engineered too...no templates as such. All I did for the front chassis connectors was to get the first bar so it "looked right", traced the outside edge onto some graph paper, then heated and gently bent the next bar/brace to match. I often wish I had access to more equipment/tools to help....but you work with what you have handy to you... Cheers Greg
Hey Lutz, Thanks mate. :) It was meant to be made from brass tube, but my soldering iron fried its self.... :( But I'm still very happy with how the plastic is working out, plus it's easier to join. LOL. ;)
