Is there any word on how the incident happened? Just a quick judgment makes me think the Suburban got cut off or something and veered into oncoming. ????
I didn't stay long enough for the investigation. Preliminary reports are the Yukon crossed the divider into the wrong direction of traffic, hitting 2 cars head on. Why this happened, I don't know att.
It has been four years and I look at this page at least once a week and I am happy to say. I have fully recovered, and still praise every person who got me out safe and sound. Thank you
shouldn't there be a ladder truck in the driveway to the house. looks like that squad pulled onto the lawn to leave room. what happened?
Hey Whaddya know, Mr Annonymous trying to stir the pot again. This exact same post was up the day after the fire and I answered it. Then someone had to put a smart ass comment on it so I deleted it and will again if the same thing happens. There was no ladder in the driveway because there were trees all along the drive and next to the house that made a ladder truck useless in this case. You don't normally see too many aerial pieces used on a house that's only 1-1/2 stories, the truck is as tall as the house. Ground ladders were used with great success. If you look at the pictures you can see this without having to try and stir something up. Picture number 1 pretty much shows with all the trees and wires, a ladder would have not been practical or useful.
ventilation?! At the time this picture was taken, they were calling for ventilation and stating there was extension to the 2nd floor. Once again. You can not critique an incident on one picture alone
Just as a heads up guys, PLEASE do not touch the truck while you are on the ground, and the truck is engaged in aerial operations.FOR YOUR SAFETY!!! I see a guy to the rear of the truck leaning on the hand rail, also I see a guy sitting on the front bumper! This is a recipe for disaster, and could make our brothers and family's suffer needlessly. Even if no wires were present...Please get into the safe practice of just not doing it!
